From what I remember, the 1984 was made to look like Ed's 1984- and Musicyo did their best to copy the headstock and body shape, as far as looks go. Musicyo also sampled many Framers of that period, and came up with neck dimensions that were close to that period.
Musicyo never had access to EVH's guitar, only EB/MM did- that's why EB/MM got it right.
However, here's what's tricky. Ed's Frankenstrat had many necks with many widths. The Charvel 25,000 replica has a 1 3/4 inch nut width, with a 1 5/8 locking nut- just like Ed's.
Basically, EVH's guitar specs varied all over the place
