on my way from one doctor to another (i'm on sick leave.. got no idea who my personal doc is, so to honor murphy's law i went to the wrong one across town)

sooo... i see the logistics truck in front of my door and he's taking packages around the street... so i think, what if???? could it be :saeek:

now i got to tune 'er up and ready to RAWK!



bleh ... gotta run to the doc cos this will take too much time and i know when i get 'er up n running i wont be able to put er down

Tell us what you think of her, the setup shouldn´t be too far off considering weather and climate, but you may have to tweak it a bit.......

BTW, funny enough, I´m on my way to the Doc as well.....Talk to ya later, bro (I noticed the phone call, but I wasn´t awake yet ;))

actually it was less than 10 (went apesh!t on the packagin (GEEEEEZ dude.. i understand well packed, but this would've survived a nuclear explosion even if it was sitting 1m from the bomb.. niiiiice :D)
and just stood there lookin at her and playing with the floyd ROFL
(and the whammy bar almost did get lost in all that bubble wrap)

1st impressions.. the finish is SWEEET some players wear and tear, but overall :32: i'm still in the process of tuning cos i dont have a tuner at home =P and i tell ya.. it's a bitch tuning by ear)

ok.. the neck is FAST! my sg is a lot thicker even though compared to other gibsons is very thin.
i like the wider neck of the charvel too.

now the pups:
they produce a lot of noise :D output can be compared to the JB, but i like the JB a bit better (these have a bit less grind to them and a bit less mids) gotta replace the pots .. they're a bit wobbly, but it still sounds great. this pup will eventually go out if i dont like it and a TB4 will go in, but i'll let it grow on me for a while (the harmonics DO jump out like crazy)

the neck pup is airy, has less bass than the '59, much more open and harmonics fly off of it like bats on speed. very articulate. i dont know which one i like better.. this one or the '59

so far i love it.
the schaller floyd dishedout everything i threw at it (and that's no small feat) and everything is still in tune, but i'll have to watch my picking, cos if i go nuts i hit it a bit too much and .. well, you know the idea

the whammy bar looks like it aint original (it's black) and it wobbles a bit.. have to replace it, but for now, i'm LOVING it

so.. feel wise it rocks my SG out of the finish. sound vise, the JB in my SG has a better tone to it, but the neck pups are even

now excuse me, i got some wanking to do :D

noone did any converting here.. i always liked their axes, he just gave me a new toy to play with :D

now it's time to sell off the other stuff i got and go amp hunting



just one more thing.. this baby sustains like there's no tomorrow :D and with a floyd to boot

hehe, the video will have to wait till i get a data cable for my phone.. sending it via gprs is a tad expencive

BTW, When I first got her I was also considering swapping the pickups, but the more I had her the more I fell in love which those Doped-out bats flying around everywhere, one Harmonic in each claw :newangel:

A Floyd Rose is essential operating kit, as well as a fast, wide neck, a la Charvel.

Out of curiosity: The neck is 24.75" scale length, right? Neck Radius, nut width, and neck profile, pls?????
