It's that time... time to show the new guitar

Not really new, it's been in my avatar for a while. I've had it for a couple months but I've been hording it all to myself!

The reason I'm mainly showing this is because of all the baritone 7 string talk as of late. Jim Soloway is IMO the best when it comes to baritone scales. Soloway guitars doesn't use anything but the 27" scale, even on 6 strings.

I've always been a super-strat type of player and probably always will be. I've always hated most 7 strings but always enjoyed the extra versitility one has to offer. I finally found a 7 string that completely blows away any other that I've played and then some. The clarity and overall sound is so rich it will make your head explode. The construction and design of this guitar is rediculously stunning. The low end can be completely devastating because of the clarity. It's extremely easy to say a jazz guy would love this guitar, which they will. However, I've been using it for all kinds of different styles and it excels at all of them.

A demo clip of this guitar recorded by Jim himself...clip

So without further a-do my Soloway Swan 7...

I don't like the body shape too much, but I like the wood and the finish, and those pearloid pickups look sweet!

Are those rio grande pickups? I don't know of anyone else doing the crushed pearl pickup tops.

Nice guitar.

Nice guitar.

They're custom Lollars, I hadn't seen anyone doing those bobbin designs either. Thanks.

That's a really nice guitar. I can't say I've ever seen one like that before either, which is really cool in my book.
