6 strings .. for tiltback or non-tiltback headstocks and is sutable more for telecaster style guitars

open with pdf then select the whole neck or just the head stock (i'll upload the headstock alone') the on a4 frinter define a new sheet size that covers the neck width and height .. example 4" by 27" .. the neck is 26 3/8" or 26.375" and the headstock is within the margins of 3 1/2" or 3.5"

the scale is 25.5"

nut width is 1 11/16" .. string spacing is 1 3/8" .. overhangs at nut are equal on both sides and are 5/32" .. overhangs at bridge are equal on both sides and are 5/32" .. string spacing at the bridge is 2 1/8" or 2.125" .. the width at 12th fret is 2 1/6" and at 24th fret is 2 1/4" or 2.25" .. at the 24th frets is the bottom of the neck pocket

Probably a bot...looks like it recognized that you posted to the thread, and then replied with a canned response.

I’m calling SPAM

Not exactly a denial

Re: i've designed from scratch a headstock/neck for telecaster style guitars

i missed to write the specifications

the string spacing at the nut is 1 1/2" or 1.5" and the overhangs on both sides are equal and are equal to 5/32" each .. the nut width then is 1 13/16" or 1.8125" = 46.0375mm (46mm)

the scale is 25.5"

the string spacing at the bridge is 2 1/8" or 2.125" and the overhangs on both sides are equal and are equal to 5/32" each

the headstock width is very near to themargins of 3 1/2" or 3.5"

width at 12th fret is 2.125000" or 2 1/8"

width at 24th fret is 2.281250" or 2 9/32" = 57.94375mm (58mm)

On your links.... Stop acting stoopid.

Re: i've designed from scratch a headstock/neck for telecaster style guitars

I really like headstock and neck designs
I have thought about it alot lately

I was thinking about a tilted 24.75 conversion neck with a 3x3 or 4x2 headstock
I'd like a straight string path from nut to tuner

I had drawn my own although on paper

Maybe I should do an autocad version as well

What do ya think

Oh I didn't click on any links

I may look the up at some point

Could you just post images instead?

Welcome to the forum!

These are not like typical bot links that I have to get rid of before anyone ever sees them. I dig the headstock pics. You can also post pics directly in posts, but you have to convert from PDFs.

Re: i've designed from scratch a headstock/neck for telecaster style guitars

thanks deers, these pdf files are locally uploads, not external links .. this forum doesn't support .dwg autodesk format so i posted the link for who are interested to download if someone want to rely on the drawing and make some editing .. pdf files are to print in full scale to be able to make the neck or use the headstock shape on your neck project .. i posted my Instagram link and my profile on esp as there is the pictures and some further explanation on drawing the esp style headstock .. pdf files are easy to view so for this i didn't posted any pictures

i just like to share my work so others can get benefit of it

it's my first ever woodworking project with very minimal tools and no experience .. i'd like to see my stuff in real if someone can make a neck using the headstocks .. if i've done it it will be my first guitar so i will start learning play it .. i'm pointing on seymour duncan parallel axis set HSH in configuration as in the photo and i'm pointing on hipshot classic open tuner and ibby hm bridge .. hopefully in the next year

Re: i've designed from scratch a headstock/neck for telecaster style guitars

If you send the dwg to the neck builders in China
The can whip you out a dozen or so fairly inexpensive

I was talking to one about just that
All I sent was a sketch of the headstock and they were ready

The language barrier was a stumbling block as I don't think they understood the other parameters

If I had sent a dwg file it would have been obvious
