I've experienced a "Blackout"!

Re: I've experienced a "Blackout"!

Oh then. Wikipedia failed me !!! "The ESP edition originally featured a Floyd Rose tremolo, which upset a large number of Slayer fans. In response, ESP began offering the Kahler 2315."

Maybe you/I could change the article ?!
:offtopic:
THis is correct, but the reason is solely that Kahler was not around anymore when this model was originally introduced, and now Kahler trems are available again in a large enough supply that it´s feasible to put them on production instruments again ;)

Re: I've experienced a "Blackout"!

Keep in mind that Zakk, Kerry and Kirk all have signature models or sets that provide them income. It wouldn't be in their best interest to leave a good thing.

It's not any of them.

Any word about Hetfield? Could it be?

Zakk and Kerry have a signature set and Kirk has a signature strat pickguard with all the pups and wiring on it if I'm not mistaken. James........?

We all also know his playing is more into huge LOW-end palm mutes right? Don't the Blackouts provide it better ("more low-end" I read somewhere)?

Re: I've experienced a "Blackout"!

Japan? Blackouts are made in Santa Barbara (PCB made in China).

Anyway, the first sets will start shipping before the end of May.

BTW, besides Dino Cazares, we're about to announce a MAJOR new artist who ditched his old active pickups for Blackouts, after 30 minutes of playing them. Watch this space.

Oh, I'm sorry Evan. I thought the PCB's were made in Japan.

Do you have a date yet?

Re: I've experienced a "Blackout"!

Well, who is it and when are the damn p-ups available!!! :9:

I just bought another USA Jackson Soloist and I need to put in some new p-ups. My other Jackson Soloist has a Distortion in the bridge and a JB in the neck. I was thinking about going with a 500T in the bridge and JB in the neck of the new one... until I saw this thread.
