With my lastest four pedals from Analog Mike, my tone is complete. My amp has been finished for awhile now and my pedalboard is now complete too. Using the TS-9 Silver by itself or even better as a boost sounds rediculously good, and the Wylde OD provides a different underlayer as a boost. The Beano Boost sounds amazing. The comprossor is by far the nicest compressor I have ever heard or played. The DS-1 Pro along with my Spina DS-1 are the two best distortion pedals I've played, both are considerably cheaper than and blow away the Keeley Ultra DS-1. The RAT is an intriguing pedal, it is excellent for nice dirty classic rock like the Who, and it works as a boost too. My strat sounds so much better somehow with the brand new maple neck I put on it. I'm going to construct the other strat this week (just need 4 neck screws and a plate). I feel like I'm not just immulating my favorite guys' tone now. Even when I'm playing Dave Murray's pickups and amp, I'm using my Sonic Maximizer and a different boost so it has my own tone in there too. I've gotten rid of the extra stuff I don't need, and I'm about to rid of my expensive chorus pedal most likely and use my main pedal board and a slab of wood with a wah, reverb, octave, tuner, and phaser on there. It's still a whole lot of pedals though... I'm not old school. I'm just really happy, and felt like sharing.
