I've finally found "my tone"

Re: I've finally found "my tone"

Glad you found your tone so young, I've only just got close to mine. GAS sucks, especially when you're skint!!!

Damn man, thats a lot of modded pedals you got... either you hit lotto or you got a really good under-the-table job

how good are analog mike's mods? his shop is a half hour from where I live.
Lucky you. His stuff costs a pretty penny but it is worth it. His DS-1 is very similar to John's, but it doesn't pack as much gain and it's not as ballsy. It's about $30 more too. But Analogman's is clearer (meaning it sounds like an SG on four different steroids a day opposed to John's pedal, which takes about five a day). They are both awesome, but different. If you have a choice go for John's simply because it's an amazing deal. But like I said, the comprossor is the best compressor I've ever played, and my favorite TS-9 is his Silver modded one. But, it cost about $200, so I wouldn't say the value is pristine. But the quality is all there. I make a ton of money, I just didn't make enough... :) . Sorry to start things up again, I didn't mean to. I just tried to start a thread about tone, not about debt.

Yeah. Well I figure you can entertain other people and make money off guitar. It also won't screw up your head, brain, lungs liver, oh hell. It won't screw up your entire body. 'Cept your ears if you aren't careful.

Got mine much cheaper on eBay. But I agree, it is crazy. I bought the Comprossor directly just because I couldn't find that exact one anywhere else for sale.

My job is at a little kids' camp where I make some money and in my room, where I resell things that I buy for way more than I paid for them. I know how to make an eBay auction and intice people into buying my things. I also get allowance and mow lawns and will be cleaning out my basement for a bunch of money. I've also built a brick wall. Just about anything I can to make some money works, and it pays nice dividends for the work put in.

Yep. Screwed it into the pickguard today. Everything's set, 'cept I need everything soldered and I need a plate/4 neck screws to attach the neck. Then strings of course. I've got tons of leftover stuff to let go of. I'll start up a thread in the trading post.
