Any recomendation for a j-bass pickup to go with a "SPB-3 for p-bass"?

What would be a good balance for the SPB-3?

The SJB-3 is the only j pickup that can match the SPB-3 p in output. I have that combo as a matched set and it works great together. Any other pickup would be too wimpy.

I agree ....

I like to use the Hot Stack in a J+P situation to tame noise but the output is not quite up there with the QP.

Is there really a lot of noise with the SJB-3? There was another post asking about that:

I hope not. I already ordered the pickups.

It's a single coil but I don't consider it noisey at all. Of course, if you stand right next to your amp you can get some noise but what single coil doesn't? You'll be very happy with the combo trust me.
