Well, graduation is coming up and i think i may be in the market for another Jackson! haha I got a sl2H that i love and now im a full-fleged Jackson nut! I want another Jackson so i can keep it tuned differnt than my soloist but i cant afford another usa Jackson. I was thinking about getting a DK2 if i can even get another guitar seeing is how i still am making payments on my soloist. Anyways, i played a Dx10d and to my surprize the bolt- on neck isnt all that bad,. I used to my neck through soloist and when i played this lower line Jackson , it surprized me that it still seemed to be a decent guitar for it price range. So i was thinking about getting a dk2 and replaceing the bridge pickup first, then maybe the bridge , and so on, has anyone owned a dk2? thanx alot!

I´d get a Used late 90´s DK-1. Identical specs, but Ebony, Mop and REAL Duncans

But from what I´ve heard the DK-2s arent bad at all, I just haven´t tried them because I don´t play Imports ;)

I play DK-2 and I think it's really worth the money. My dream guitar would be Soloist SL2H but DK-2 is also very nice sounding axe. I changed pickups for real Duncans and now it rocks.

Re: Jackson DK2

What pickups did you change it for? I am going to change mine too but im not for sure what i'm going to swap them for. I'm thinking about a jb [like my sl2h] and a Lil' screamin' deamon. Or possibly a Screamin' deamon and lil' screamin' deamon.

I have Custom at bridge position, JBjr middle and lil'59 neck. Since I put Custom in this guitar I'm not even thinking about swaping this pickup. It sounds great in this guitar. I had JB (duncan designed version of JB) and to me it lacked bottom and was little too bright. After JB I had Invader. Sound was heavy but well defined, not muddy at all. But I wanted something with power of Invader and lead tone of JB. I think Custom is what I was looking for. It's not as heavy as Invader but it's close and tone has similar flavour. Also lead tone is great so this pickup stays for good.

Re: Jackson DK2

Iv got a BLK DK-2 and a blk DXMG both very good guitars, i switched out the p/u's and machine heads on both, now there great guitars.
