Here's a question for you Jackson DXMG owners....... Are the E<G-HZ's any good that come in the dxmg ? Or would a good ol' JB suit it much better? I guess what im asking is how do they sound compared the the Jb?

Thanx alot!

You really should ask OUR brother's at the JCF (Jackson Charvel Forum) :) :newangel: :

:newangel:  :cool3: :duh: :fing25:

????

1. not everyone wants to register there, which I can fully understand, because there are quite a few douchebags on there.. ;).
2. We have dozens of Jackson players and a few "gurus" here as well, many of which are also menbers of the JCF or CC forums ;)
3. Read the question, he´s asking about the pickups specifically, I honestly think that we can help him 10x more (That and IMO most of the pickup advice I´ve seen on the JCF is BS, CC is better in that regard. at least 50% of the guys are constantly recommending the EMG 81 as a cure all for everything, )

BTW, please speak for yourself when you say "OUR" brothers. I consider them that, but there are literally 1000´s of others on this board, of which I´m guessing Half would hate the JCF if they spent 20 minutes there (and with good reason IMO) ;)

That all said, this belongs in the Pickup Lounge with a more fitting title of "EMG-HZ vs SD JB" or similar. The DKMG is by far not the only axe that has those pickups, but by coming into the Guitar shop and "specifying" jackson AND a specific model you just "eliminated" about 80 % of the possible replies ;)

IMO the EMG-HZs are crap, I used to have them in a few axes when I had my shop, I always found them "stale" and a bit too loose. Just kind of "not enough of anything" (aka. "Basswood-syndrome"). I very miuch prefer5 the JB, although it´s not exactly my favorite either ;)

a friend of mine had those in the MG series warrior. i believe him totaly when he says that they are pure ****e. and if you ask me, you'd be off good with the JB, allthough the axe is bolt on alder right? if i was you, i'd go with the custom
