Hey anybody know much about these? Some guy is trying to sell me a polkadot rx10d for $300. It's the shark fin guitar and it's got a locking floyd and two duncan design pickups. I think it's basswood with a rosewood neck? I don't know where it was made or how old it is. I want it for a goof off thrasher guitar but not if it's made in China or Indonesia.

Re: jackson rx10d

I know some models were made in Japan and some Indonesia. I guess I will have to check the serial number and see what's what. I don't even know how old it is.

Re: jackson rx10d

I checked the older models on the jackson catalog page in 2012. They were all made in Japan. The neck on it feels really nice but like you said.....cheap floyd and pickups equals 500 bucks to fix and that's 500 i may not want to spend on that type of guitar. That's 800 tottal and I'm not sure i want to spend it on that guitar when i can get a Charvel so cal customized for $1000 with the case too.

Basswood, cheap floyd, duncan design HB's (based on the Jazz(n) and the Distortion(b), maple neck (bolt on), compound radius board

Basswood on the transparent finishes. Alder on the solid ones.

Probably not made in Japan, but worth $250-ish. The Floyd on that is fine for a goof off thrasher guitar, and the pickups are actually decent.
