Jackson Warrior Discussion

I feel there's a lack of info and GAS enhancers/suppressors:laugh2: on the net for this Jackson, so I thought we could try and pool some knowledge about these guitars in one place.

Any successful musicians/bands play one? It's the one shape that I never see anyone use.

Also, does anyone on here have a Warrior? If so how do you like the shape in general and when compared to Jackson's other guitars?

Is the quality of the WR1 as good as Jackson's other USA models considering it seems to be the least popular shape?

Just feel free to through in your thoughts and feelings about this model. Oh and pics (especially of the WR1)!!:usa1:

Re: Jackson Warrior Discussion

I haven't played a WR1, but the WRXT was super-comfortable when I played it, had great access. It just looks kind of weird and is more expensive than the rest of their axes.

Re: Jackson Warrior Discussion

One more quick question. Which came first, the Warrior or the B.C. Rich Stealth? One must have ripped off the other.

Re: Jackson Warrior Discussion

AFAIK know the Stealth since B.C Rich started out earlier than Jackson and from what i know the Stealth belonged to the original Line-up of B.C Rich Shapes.
My Custom B.C R is a stealth. Shapewise it's very comfortable and pretty balanced. It just looks strange to some people so i guess that'*s the main reason for the shape to not be very popular.

Re: Jackson Warrior Discussion

I've played a couple of WR1's. They are among the most evenly balanced guitras in existence. The shape may look funny, but there is positively no neck dive. It stays right where you put it. And, they're really comfortable to play seated, too. I wish they would bring back the short scale of the early 90's USA Warrioris and Japanese Warrior Pro's. The quality is definitely top notch.

Re: Jackson Warrior Discussion

I'm sure they're good guitars and all. I just wouldn't be able to deal with the shape.

Here's a pic I dug up on the web of a WR1.

+1 to everything Travis said. The Stealth definitely came first though the story is that the Warrior body shape is actually comprised of 4 Jackson headstocks so it may not be a straight up ripoff of the BCR. Here's mine:

Re: Jackson Warrior Discussion

I WANT a 90s warrior pro with the slanted pickups and fingerboard. These guitars are VERY HOT and my favorite shape so far.

Very comfy to play.

Actually if the old WRMGs go for cheaper I may go for one, who knows...

AzCat, I want that! :yell: :bigok:

Just tell Jackson to build one for you, they'll be only too happy to oblige. :laugh2:

Be sure to check out the Bomb's Away Warrior that Guitar Asylum has too. It may be even cooler than mine!

bomb's away has been one of my favorites for a long time.

I'd go custom in a heartbeat...if I didn't need to sell my heart to afford it.:laugh2:

Nah, the warthog is the cooler graphic of the two. Either way, they're both killer guitars, stumpy or regular.

Re: Jackson Warrior Discussion

i didnt really like em at first, but i was looking into em for a friend that wants one and now they seem pretty badass. i dont like the ones with wacky graphics though. the transblack one above looks amazing though

I dig funky guitars, but NOT this one.

It scares me! If I played one, I would probally get hurt from all of the pointy ends on it!
