Jackson XStroyer

So, Jackson decided they'll make an Ibanez Destroyer knockoff for Mr Collen. Normally I pass on revelations like that but that shape just looks so damn good! Does it top its predecessor? Let's discuss.

Re: Jackson XStroyer

Never played the DT555 back in the day. If this plays and sounds anything like the PC1, it should be awesome.

Re: Jackson XStroyer

Me likes...never had a destroyer type or a three humbucker guitar. GAS officially kicking in

Re: Jackson XStroyer

He is starting to look like Halford.I dig the guit. Nicer looking than a Kelly, but it needs a kahler.

Re: Jackson XStroyer

Nice take on the Destroyer II. Be real cool in a Flametop with no trem or middle pickup.

Re: Jackson XStroyer

I own a Destroyer, and I absolutely love mine.

That being said, I'm a Jackson fan, and if they were actually selling these, you bet your ass I'd snag one. Just as long as the body is mahogany, I'm all good.

Re: Jackson XStroyer

Thats absolute badassery! I always loved the destroyers, but didnt care for the plain straight headstock, (guitar so angular with a straight headstock?) so this fixes that for me. Id prefer a 2 pickup config, but his old DT555 (?) had 3 so comes full circle. Id def love to have one!

Many things to love for me. I like the destroyer body shape, I love Hamer standards in solid colors with bound bodys, (wish Gibson made exporers with bound bodies), plus I love Jacksons. (but not the kelly shape as much as explorer and destroyer shape)

As Mutts said, the middle pup isnt a bad idea as it looks like the neck pup is a sustainer. I suspected cuz: Phil uses sustainers, the mini toggles, the neck pup is black, whereas the others are white. Plus, I copied the pick to email to a bud and in the email, the pic shows much bigger and the neck pup def looks like a sustainer as it has rails.

He also has a new "stealth" version of his regular jackson sig model. Flat black finish with an ebony board. Looks a lot like the wolfgang stealth.

Re: Jackson XStroyer

That is a kick ass looking guitar. One of my buddies has a PC1 sig and he let me play it a few times. An absolutely steller instrument. I bet this new one is right up there with it.
