Jam collab with Strangesound.

Re: Jam collab with Strangesound.

Sounds cool.

How did you make it? Just send clips to each other and then mixed it? :)

Re: Jam collab with Strangesound.

Not bad, not bad at all! How'd you get that smooth tone, Rid? Sounds lovely.

Re: Jam collab with Strangesound.

SS just mailed me the track with his take on it, it is the most simple way to do it, as sending both the whole track and the track with the guitar is alittle more timeconsuming.
So I just heard what he did and took it from there.
Hmm just used my usual POS Marshall DRP-1...which by now is rather modded;)
The drive is a Driveregulation prototype, more on the smooth fat side, very nice for all that fusion and stuff alike that I play, so I basicly made it for myself:D
Have two versions of it, a two-channel in a white plexibox, and a HDB sized one, plus one more is being made, just need to stick some wiring and contacts on it and it works....well hopefully;)
Niels
Damn Adrian we gotta do this again!
....hehe

Re: Jam collab with Strangesound.

Yeah :) Cool beans!

My sound sounds so far away.I think the condenser was too far away and next time I'll put the volume up and use a dynamic mic.

Have to tweak a bit..I changed nothing regarding the tone here on this one.

I'm playing clean only nowadays and looking foward to check the yamaha sa 2200 out..perhaps I'll stick with clean sounds in the future, sounds better to me.
And jazz the way up!

Or try some CM pedals out, I need something different I think.

Re: Jam collab with Strangesound.

And now you'll have the same problems as me, looking for a good clean amp, unless you're satisfied with the one you have ;)

I like the cleans on the Screamer and the overdrive I get with the pedal but only on gigs it sounds full and creamy, yeah I know tubes have to be cranked :blackeye: :)

Re: Jam collab with Strangesound.

Perhaps it's the Dimarzios..basswood has plenty of low-mids and dimarzios too.

SDs could balance it, I think.

Meh, I don't know..there are only few overdriven/distorted sound I like :eek13:

Each day they become fewer..I'm a clean tone whore ...for now.

Re: Jam collab with Strangesound.

Yeah put those dimosaurios out:D
Stuff in some nice fat PAF like humbucker or a C5?
Perhaps even the JB?
I get some of the best fusion tones with my JB, with rosewood Kramer it is just a great match for me that is!

:D

I'm REALLY tempted to try it out.

I had a JB already but it kinda hummed..I don't know how it would be like with the new setup or my new knowledge I gained here..I bet there would be plenty ways to correct it but a TB-5 should come first to test and work!
