Adrian made me a cool jazz backing half a year ago. I recorded my part today. Please don't ask me why I hadn't done so earlier. :eek13:

Jazz Project

First solo is Strangesound, my part starts around 2:20. Thanks, Adrian! :)

Wow Peterku!! I got a shiver (in a good way) when you started playing..totally Metheny vibe, great fat sound..what did you use? Excellent, worth the wait :)

Re: Jamming with Strangesound

You guys should do more together, your styles complement each other beautifully. Great to hear a jazz approach that doesn't fill every bar! Tasty playing and beautiful tone.

Cheers...................wahwah

+1
Great tone and great approach.
And a great backing track.

Re: Jamming with Strangesound

Thanks for the kind words! I'm quite a beginner, rather listening to music than playing it, however, Strangesound's backing and solo were really inspiring. :) Time to start learning and practicing, I think... :D

Adrian, I plugged my Artist - solidbody LP-style, BK Mules, '12 strings - straight into the Toneport. I used the AC-30 model, it's my favourite model in Gearbox.

I think it's my turn now to make a backing. Thanks for the comments once again!

Now that is SMOOTH~!!! That solo spoke more than many a shredder.

Re: Jamming with Strangesound

The TonePort sounds great!

Holy crap, great Jazz tone, I 'll assume neck pickup with tone rolled back a bit?

Yes, it's the neck pickup but the guitar doesn't have a tone control. The strings are 12's, they sound fatter and smoother than 10's. I also lowered the pickups, which makes them sound softer with more dynamics.
