The MIJ Strats are very high quality from the few I have played personally. Those pics show why it's a high price. What do we get in the US, some crappy tobacco sunburst or a plain black or white? That's figured ash and it really does look striking.

Love that wood and finish....but for a thousand dollars I would expect to get all the frets....it's missing one!

well, in the 80's the jap strats were made just as well if not better than the usa made ones.....
