Re: Jateleguar progress

The second pic, after you sanded the black back, looks freakin awesome!

I do like the blue/green though, it has some definite POP

Re: Jateleguar progress

Man, it looks awesome! But the un-blued version looks pretty damn awesome too!

Re: Jateleguar progress

I couldn't keep the blue stain from bleeding over the side. So i laid another coat of dark grey over the entire guitar to tint it.

Here it is after the 2nd coat of clear before sanding.

Re: Jateleguar progress

really awesome job. you basically built a prs hollow body in jaguar style. All the sustain and less feedback than a true hollow body.

Re: Jateleguar progress

sooooo i couldnt get the wood seams to fill in without having waaay too much clear on the guitar, so i took it back down to bare wood so i can start over and actually use wood sealer. doing the same bluegreen i originally did.

ROUND TWO. DING DING DING

i laid the black base again.... i went darker this time to make the blue POP more than last time.

Re: Jateleguar progress

using a sponge for the clear coat this time instead of struggling with rattle cans.

I'm doing the back/sides first, so the top blue doesn't bleed over again.
