Jazz neck magnet replacement

Has anyone tried replacing the magnet of their Jazz neck from an A5 to an A2? I'm considering doing that to warm it up a bit and have a better match for my CC (which is on the way).

If you have, what has been the difference in tone and responsiveness? I'm looking for an overall warmer and less compressed vibe.

Yes... it is VERY similar to an Alnico Pro II... it will match up great with the Custom Custom!

I prefer alnico 2 neck humbuckers. Usually the bass is a little less than from an alnico 5 humbucker which helps me get a clearer tone for chords....even tho a2 humbuckers also seem to have less treble. The Jazz is my favorite alnico 5 Duncan neck bucker, but I like the alnico 2 Seth Lover, Pearly Gates and Antiquity even better. So sure: try an a2 magnet in that Jazz and see if you like it better. I use a Seth with my CC, BTW.
