JB/PAF sounding humbucker?

I am looking for a new humbucker for my fat Strat. I have a JB trembucker in there, but dislike it in the Strat. I find that it's too thin, the highs are too harsh, and the lows seem displaced. I like, however, the mid emphasis, although the 'wah' sound is a bid overbearing at times. Therefore, I need a humbucker that is a balance between a PAF and a JB- something with balanced highs and lows, classic PAF crunch, and a VERY slight midrange emphasis. I have been looking at the Warren DiMartini signature, and the George Lynch Super V, as they are touted as being JB-based, but tweaked. Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

Put a a-2 mag in that badboy! Should get you close.

Putting an A8 magnet in is the solution for your problem.

Yes, I agree, if putting a a-2 will get you close, an a-8 will get you there.

they're recommending either putting an A2 or A8 in the JB. I'd try both and see what you like better.

They're talking about switching the existing magnet in the pickup. Cheaper and easier than getting another pickup. It comes with Alnico 5, so swapping to Alnico 2 or Alnico 8 will change the EQ.

Wiht a JB, Seymour suggests using a 250k pot (which is standard in a Strat anyway) to cut the treble a bit; and he uses an A2 in his. Also, I've found that adding a tone control to the bridge pup, really helps tame a strat.
