paid 50$ for this set wondering if ever made or it could be Chinese best try (as you can see many on Ali)
every part is telling its a legit SD to my eyes but you never know how much Chinese factory can do to make it as if it is SD.
both read about 16k.
if i ever sell, how much can this be worth?

Yes, 2 JBs for $50 not too bad, ej? How do they sound like?

just got them as sold with pickup rings and etc.
before the drop, i needed to know if they are truly a legit pair.

I have seen SD inmitations that even dealers got fooled until they take parts apart and do the AB test.

It looks like a 'set'. But they're probably identical pickups except for the neck turned over and stamped with the logo on the opposite side. JBs' tone is pretty ez to identify. You'd know if you installed them.

about the logo tho, is it common to see same pickup with different logo looking like neck or bridge without sticker saying such?

There are some really knowledgeable and very helpful members here who are happy to chip in on the authenticity bit. There's also a sticky topic o the pickups section of the forum you may want to check out

i had a jb "neck" model in a rhoads. just a normal jb with the logo on the other bobbin like yours, so they do exist, just not common.

A JB set is OEM pulled from a guitar. Wasn't sold direct, AFAIK. They're actually more valuable than $50 USD, so I think you got a steal.

What Beau and Jeremy said... There have been a small number of guitars over the years that came with JBs in both positions. Looks like an OEM set to me, as well, likely out of a Jackson given the date range

you mean the pickups are made in SD factory for OEM guitars or some random factory outside of USA manufactured under the name of SD?

Seymour Duncan factory in Santa Barbara, U.S.A. makes certain runs of pickups special for guitar manufacturers, in addition to selling their regular line of pickups direct to the public. The "JB set" was made in U.S.A. for guitar manufacturers but was not sold direct to the public.

It looks like
- Real JB's
- Likely from a 2 JB guitar (Jackson ran some, for example, I believe)
- There is not a calibrated "output" JB set
- The Jazz is the appropriate "paired" pup for a JB per the original set that was made, but it is not a JB 'light'

Whoa, I didn’t even notice the logos. They put a set of JBs in a guitar on purpose? Damn, has anyone ever tried a JB in the neck? It must sound ridiculously hot lol.

I love JB's in most ever guitar, in the bridge. I had one neck model and never found a good home for it-it doesn't do what a normal neck pickup is supposed to do, IMHO.
