JCM 800 2204 or 2205?

Re: JCM 800 2204 or 2205?

I may have received some bad info on the effects loop then, because I was told they were added in the mid 80s and have have seen at least a half-dozen with loops that looked like they were factory. Someone did, at least visually, a very pro job installing a loop on those Marshalls if that is the case.

However, I am positive that the horizontal jacks came along in 1983, still looking for a iron clad information source for that on the web. But I did get the info from several very good sources, one of which is the amp tech for Joe Walsh, Motorhead, the Rolling Stones, etc. I trust his info. :fingersx:

Cheers,

CJ

Well, LegendaryTones.com did say circa-1985 and that could mean "give or take a year or so".

I've seen some effects loop mods on those things that were pretty convincingly "stock" looking. Mostly due to the jacks that most guys used, they were the same type as the input and speaker jacks. Makes it really easy to make something look stock that way.
