jcm 800 50 watt

i just saw a 50 watt JCM 800 2204 head... early 80's Canadian issue with the metal toggle switches... Great price and in pretty good shape.. it had an FX loop at one time but since removed... judging by the sloppy drilled holes in the back panel it was done by a hack....

I already have this amp model in my collection but thinking maybe adding a second..... ooooooohhhh i hate xmas when cash is tight... if i get it i will have to sell some gear..

I used to own a 4104 2x12 combo that I wish I never gave away way back when!

i'm having a tug of war in my mind... if i buy it i'll be paying for it for a few months off my credit.... i may have to let it slip by.. $750 Canadian it is a steel... I'll make up my mind in the next few days.

I have had the jcm 800 50 watt 2204s in the crosshairs on ebay...they can be had for about $700 there - awesome amp, if you get the chance to play before you buy and dont pay shipping $750 is well worth it but you could probably dredge one up via pawn shop / ads for $500

no i'm in Canada.... but Guessing only, i may know who it was.... It may of been a member of a Who tribute act out that way that i heard has that as a plate number.... i should ask him

here in the Toronto area a good early JCM 800 50 watt head sells for about $1200 these days in the vintage shops... This one i saw a few days ago was priced for $750 at my local shop... It is in a lot better shape then my own 800 head of the same era and model....

cool to know.... Canadian and American funds are now on par almost.... have been all year.... it's a good time for Canadians to be buying south of the border... saddly we get hit with the duty/Import tax on anything we buy in the USA... Free Trade my A$$... 15% tax plus service fee's everytime i order stuff from the USA.... that is the main reason i have not bought a MusicYo 1985... by the time it gets here it is too expensive..
