Just a quick note...

If you do end up looking into the KK version of the 800, remember it does not have EL34's in it (KT88's I think). So just be aware of that.

That'd be cool. What I'd really like to hear is a lot of palm muted riffs as I tend to judge an amp based on how it makes those riffs sound and feel.

And not to rush someone who's doing me a favour, but I leave Thursday morning for two months.

Try the Peavey JSX. Great amp. Sounds like a 800 on Channel 2, a Mesa on Channel 3, and a very clean sound on channel 1. I love the JSX and Ive owned every amp under the sun.
