wow, that vai tone you have is definetly spot on...and the playing isn't hurtin' the sounds I'm hearin' much either ;)

I've been fighting with my vetta as far as direct recording goes for awhile now! but I guess ya have to come to terms with the fact that you gotta tweak the tone through your pc speaker setup, NOT the vetta's, to see what it's gonna track like!

the many trials of digital amps ;)

I thought the same thing when I first listened, but, then I listened to Vai at the same time. There are subtle differences in the playing. But, it's definately not Vai on the clip. Excellent playing LGMT.

Hi folks, thanks for the feedbacks. I got the Vai book and have hard training on this. That speed wha part took me much time to achieve. About the tone......... the guitar came with this kind of tone when you use Modern High Gain Settin on POD. The amazing thing was the beck tone on a bassman setting that was real close even with Ibanez. Bassman and a rool of knob.......... ahhh ..... and fingers !!!!!

I gotta tell ya'...I was waiting for the fast runs on the Vai tune to see how you did - very cool! When I heard it, my face cracked a little smirk and I nodded, lol.

Good job man.
You got close on love of god. But don't forget to put lots of emotion into it. The way Vai plays it in concert he drives hard into every note and vibrates it HARD rocking the guitar up and down... When you got comfortable with the technical part try to dig into it a little harder, because love of god is supposed to be a very emotional song.

The beck was rather nice. I sort of got confused a little with the left + right panning of the harmony (it drove me a little nuts)

Frantic Rock, this Vai song is very difficult just because that feeling that takes a long to catch. Technically it's hard, obviously, but feeling demand more time to got. Like steve morse frases.

yah, I have seen Vai perform that on one of the videos I own at home.

he has crazy tone and is a great guitarist.

your definitely copping some of his playing, that fast run is tough - you nailed most of it!

Ive heard the haunting volume swells of the beck track, and opted not to listen to it today.
