Hi guys

I'm looking for a humbucking tele neck pickup that compliments my SD '59 bridge pup.

I tried a STK-T1n Vintage Stack but felt it wasn't quite powerful enough and the difference in output between both pickups was very apparent.

I'm now thinking of making the necessary mods and fitting a SD Lil 59 strat neck pickup. Will this give me the balance I'm looking for or is there something else available?

Your help would be appreciated.

There aren't many humbucking neck models for Tele. Duncan makes the Vintage Stack and DiMarzio makes the Virtual Vintage Tele Neck pickup (which is probably weaker than the Duncan you tried).

My advice is to go with a Strat neck pickup, or even a full sized humbucker in the neck ala Albert Collins.

try the hot or the quarter pounder, i personally love the neck quarter pounder in my friends tele along with his 59'. i know its not hum cancelling but its not that noisey!
