Jensen > Weber Switch

Re: Jensen > Weber Switch

Emi Wizard is the G12h30
Emi GB12 AND Private Jack are the "greenback" clones. I like the GB12 a bit better.
I'm currently using Scumback speakers and Weber Pre Rola treatment speakers and they are terrific, although I don't play a Fender. The scumback H75 is a better G12h30 IMO, but they are a bit pricey.

While Lewguitar most certainly has a wealth of experience, and he's right about the celestion speakers. Don't write off the Webers just yet! The 12 in. speak. may not be right for him, but they defineatly are for me and many other pros. They are considered an upgrade in many boutique amps. Just don't blow them off. It depends on the sound your after. If your looking for a vintage sound( probably why you picked a 5E3 ) They can't be beat! Period!

In a 5E3 tweed Deluxe any Weber I've tried (and I've tried most of them) can be beat easily by a Celestion Alnico Blue...and in a Deluxe Reverb they can be beat easily by a Celestion G12H30 or Vintage 30.

But I do use some of Ted's 10" speakers.

Weber's are not the ultimate 12...I'm not crazy about the way Ted voices his 12's.

Lew, how do the Celestions compare to the original Jensens that come stock in Fender Tweed Deluxe and Deluxe Reverbs? I'm assuming that the Celestions are considered significant upgrades from the stock Jensens. Yes/No?
