Now if I can only get Artie to do a diagram version instead of a true schematic all will be good. (hint hint)

No later than this week, for sure. I promise. :)

I believe thats "normal" for JP wiring. Look at the chart above that fresh_start posted. There's never any time that you can pull the rythm tone pot by itself. When you do that, you lift the ground for the bridge pickup. That will kill it if the neck isn't selected.

Artie

is it possible to make something to avoid this "hole"

Re: jimmy page wiring: photo and explanation

That's a sloppy looking, botched wiring job in those pictures! I'd think that setup would create stray noise, buzzing etc...done that way...I'm a neat freak and man that's botched up looking! ;o)

Re: jimmy page wiring: photo and explanation

my les paul is back with the page wiring.
i gave it to my luthier.
his job is very clear, and it doesn't look like the photos in nocase.
no parasite, no buzz, it is very good.

but one is thing stupid , if the tone rythm is pull, rythm poistion and middle position are similar, beacuse the bridge pickup is shut down

i'd have to say that wiring job is ghetto, it reminds me of my first car stereo install ;)

Actually, if you pull the rythm tone by itself, you kill the whole guitar - in any position. On one hand, I agree that thats stupid. On the other hand, its what Jimmy wanted. ;)

is there something to do, to changeit!
i am not agree with jimmy:eek13: lol

Re: jimmy page wiring: photo and explanation

The rhythm tone pot pulled is the series connection for the two pickups. The guitar will not be silent in the middle position (both pickups on) with the series pot pulled.

Re: jimmy page wiring: photo and explanation

i ask it again xcuse me:eek13:

is it possible to make something in order to cancel the fact that the bridge pickup is chut of when serie pushpull is pull?

Re: jimmy page wiring: photo and explanation

I'm working on a slight modification of that circuit, but it will take some time. I've still got a couple of forum bro requests that I'm behind on. I gotta get those done first. ;)

Re: jimmy page wiring: photo and explanation

I'm into the in & out of phase idea now ...

In particular, do the funky out of phase sounds really cut through in a live situation. ??????...

thanks
