Ya, when I got my 50W Splawn I couldn't believe how loud it was! I got mine w/the Mullard EL34s and it sounds great. You get a Quickrod?

Clean channel is a bit challenging to dial in, but the gain channel is nearly plug and play.

I did, I did. I'm thinking I might eventually switch to either KT77 or =C= EL34 though.

Im so green with envy!! I have been listening to every clip I can of amps and I believe splawn is prob the closest Ill get to my ideal tone.. I just cant decide tween a QR and a Nitro!
Im trying REAL hard to talk myself into selling off a bunch of axes to get one..

Yes and no. You don't really hear the character, the mid shape, or eq of the Greenbacks. What happens is you wind up with a cab that sounds like v30s BUT you DO hear the top end of the greenbacks, and you get the sparkle and crunch.

So it's like hearing punchy, spanky V30s. I love it.

As for the g12h30, that I think is probably the best sounding speaker ever...on it's own. But the V30 and Greenback combination is tough to beat.

I have a Nitro and loving it. Loud as hell. Half power feature comes in handy for sure.

Every time I've gone down to 1/2 power, I've always gone right back to full ... I much prefer the tone of full power!

Me too .. but I use 1/2 power if I play at lower levels.
