Ya know, I've really fallen in love with screwing around with guitars. I love the process of staining, and finishing them. Sooooooo, I'm just kind of teaching myself all this crap, but...........

I just love, love, love Telecasters. I love the shape of them, and the way they look. So, I bought this, as well as a neck to go with it. I'll figure out before too long what color I will do it with, but I do know that I will make it a rock monster with high output pickups.

Anyways........It won't have a pickguard. I do know that!!

Nice! I like building Teles best too, but never did one with a nice flame top like that.

I'm thinking something along the lines of the Dirty Lemon Les Pauls that I fell in love with years ago, but ya never know with me. I have the worst a.d.d. in the world...lol

They're coming along. It takes time finishing them. The tru oil on them still has to cure, and then be wet sanded. I'm not just going to slap them together hastily when they are not ready to be.

Get a block plane
Run over the edge of the top
To bring that unfinished maple back up
Then clear over for a faux binding

Also knocks that corner off the front
Your forearm will thank me

Sounds like a great idea for the binding. I'm not worried about it not having any contours. My ESP Vintage Plus Tele is flat, and it doesn't bother me one bit.

What neck/board?

I think 3TSB would look killer w/ Maple.

What ideas are you floating around?
