Well, I played one today. thought I wanted a 6505. but the JSX blew my mind.

What you guys think of them??

i have yet to try one but i will!!!! It's just the closest Peavey dealer is 45 minutes away...

i was playing thru one yesterday at gc and it sounds good but i wasnt impressed at all!

Very nice amps...but I once tried it alongside the 6505 and the XXX and the XXX absolutely blew both of them away!

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. The 6505/5150, Triple X, and JSX are all unique to themselves. The JSX and the Triple X share similar voicings, but the Triple X has the most gain of any amp I have owned and does not back off well for any middle ground - where the JSX does do medium gain styles much better than the Triple X. All three are excellent amps.
