, I had to indulge.
I had been looking for a body to mate a Takeuchi JT580 Lo-Pro tremolo that I have. And basically also wanted a guitar to put in a real cool bridge pickup that I have been literally dying to use.
It'll take a while to get me a neck for this, cause what I really want is a genuine Jackson Maple neck for it, and thats two hundred which is entirely out of the question at this time.
These bodies are solid Alder, MIJ, and have the Japanese painters hand signed initials.
I might need some help on how to fill that D-tuna gouge. I will tell ya one thing right off the bat- this sucka gonna have a Lynch Screamin' Demon in the neck!;

You could put a d-tuna on the bridge - that would 'fill the hole' like it was meant to be there. I can see only more time-consuming and less cosmetically adept solutions otherwise. And ones that will probably cost more to boot.

I just picture a shred Brian Setzer.

Re: Just Adopted an Orphan

And you talked smack about my Charvels.....lol

I wasn't exactly dissing your gear, just that maybe since you love them a lot, it might be time to perhaps consider a Custom shop job is all. Same with Gibson, the difference is real , and some people are under the misaprhension since its "only" a Fender, that its okay.Well..no, it really isnt, if you love high end guiatars like premium Lesters like I know you does.
Sure, ya can put a Duncan in a midrange guitar, and it'll be great, no question, BUT, if ya put that same Duncan inn a high end guitar, it'll be stupyfying!

hmm.. this is very much subjective to say the least

high end guitars do not insure better sound.. no matter what you load in them.. the workmanship.. one would hope will be superior to middle of the road guitars.. but some guitars just have that special mojo or "Soul"...

besides.. too many variables to make such a bold statement.. hehehheh made a funny
