Just bought a broken Jackson RR

Re: Just bought a broken Jackson RR

No it had some Ibanez branded Floyd copy on the guitar when I got it.

I've had this OFR just sitting here in a box.

Probably an 80's era OFR size kind of issue, that's my guess. Maybe the original ones were a little larger than the specials and licensed? The floyds probably older than the axe kind of thing, I'm no Floyd guru though.

Where's Zerb when I need him.....

I tilted the body to the angle I wanted, sprayed the spray paint into the lid until there was a puddle of it, then from about 2 feet up I just let drips fall out.

Uh oh.... issue with OFR banging the rear.
I'll take a Dremel to the body unless you guys have a better idea?

Maybe grind the bolts a 1/4 " shorter?

Little update, yesterday I drilled the plate for the huge arcade button Killswitch.
Just waiting on 2 things to finish it up:
DDJ pup in the mail, and the output jack plate.

This looks really good! Holler at me when you get the DDJ, and thanks again for the zebra 59N that really did help me so it worked out great for both of us.

Done!
Got the pup in this morning, it needs a few adjustments here and there, but it's ALIVE!

Re: Just bought a broken Jackson RR

That DDJ was out of a white 1985 Kramer Vanguard (Rhoads body). The orig owner bought that DDJ new in 1987 or 1988 and it was in that guitar up until last summer sometime. And it lives on in another white V.
