Hey all,
Was at GC for their labor day sale and picked up a Line 6 Spider II 1x12 for $260.00. I actually was going there to pickup one of the new Vox modeling amps but they were sold out.
The guy who was helping me out asked if I ever played through the new Spider II's and, not being familiar with them I tried it out. Man was I surprised with all the bells and whistles on it! Plus the amp tones were great, the fender setting just nailed my deluxe reverb! Ive always heard horror stories about the 1st spider amps but I was very pleasantly surprised.
Being a tube amp purist I was very skeptical about modeling amps especially the line 6 stuff. I owned a 1st incarnation of the Vox Valvetronix 1x12 and it just didn't cut it for me but man was I surprised with Line 6. It took a while to figure out all the settings but once you figure that out its smooth sailing.
