Yeah, i have a hard time keeping 9s in tune when I play, plus they sound thinner and break easier for me. I've always been a 10s (electric) and 13s (acoustic) guy.

p.s. Elixir Nanoweb's are my favorite acoustic strings by far. They last forever!

I use 10's on everything as I'm a cheap skate why buys strings in bulk!

I use 11's on mine, sometimes 11.5's. I will never go back to 10's or 9's -- sound is too wimpy to me.

9's are fine for me, 10's are okay sometimes, depends on how im feeling..

i do however relate string gagues to trucks..and you know what they say about guys who drive big trucks =)...
