I will try to explain myself better this time (I hope) just built guitar from scratch. using two 5 wire humbuckers 2 tone and 2 vol. I would like to get the most useful sounds from this combination : I will use a dpdt on/on/on mini switch for p-up selector. I will use two dpdt on/ off/on mini switches and two triple shots is there a wiring diagram available if not can one of you guys help me out? I see a lot of knowledgeable people on this site!! I am good with a soldering iron but suck at wiring diagrams!!

Wiring your triple shots is very easy. Just follow the instruction that came with them.

After wiring mounting your triple shots you can wire them as they are 2 conductor pups. White is hot, black is cold and bare is grounded at all times.

Works same as a 3 way toggle (LP style) and there a lot of wiring schemas here

When you say 5-wire pickups, you mean 4 colored conductors and the bare wire, correct?

If so, and if they're Duncan pickups, solder each of the 5 wires to the spots on the contact board according to their color - Red, White, Black, Green, and the Bare wire goes to the one marked GND (Ground).


The black, white, and bare wires that come from that board are now your primary pickup leads, which go to your mini toggles (I assumed you wanted phase inversion on both, since that's about all you can get with two DPDT on\on\on switches with TripleShots) The mini-toggles then go to your pickup selector.

Thats all you need. You can use one mini for neck and the other one for bridge. I have just draw one for myself using 2 push pulls

I have used a 4 way tele switch here but you can replace it with a regular 3 way toggle. (You will have to ground neck cold wire also)

as Cakire82 and I both have completed this exact same mod
trust us when we say the Triple shots will give you almost any option you would want from a humbucking pickup

unless of course you want it to spin round and dance a jig

phase inversion are indeed the only thing left in a two pickup w/ TS system

Cakire82 used a 4 way and push-pulls as he has shown and I used a 5 way super switch to achieve in effect the same results
