Les Paul Custom with a set of 57s
Les Paul Trad with 57+ and 57
Epiphone Dot with Burstbucker Pros (yes, that was an interesting day, fitting them and new pots.......)

nice thing is they all seem to have similar output.........

Sweet. I love those pickups myself and have a 57+ / 57 pair that I run in my frankenstrat. If you find the 57 bright, play with the height and adjust the pole pieces. Put the treble side further down. When tuned in, those babies sing.

thanks guys! How low can I take those pesky pole pieces?

until they stop. just be gentle. i have done this and you can hear a difference in output and tone. to my ears, they sound more muffled when the pole pieces are all the way down.

I absolutely love my "57n in my LP Classic. Very versitile, full sounding yet with a nice high end.

When Tom Holmes designed the 57 Classics for Gibson I felt they were the finest humbuckers Gibson had made since the early 1960's. Of course the Burstbuckers came next and most players seem to like them even better.

I have the stock 57 Classics in my natural ES-335.

I like 'em.

I had a burst 335 when I was too young and too inexperienced to appreciate it. Then in '69 I bought a cherry red 345 which I LOVED. But I always wanted a natural. Your 335 natural with '57s has got to be awsome. I'm so envious.
