Just ordered a Musikraft roasted maple neck.

Man, I can't wait till this baby arrives. It will be my first roasted maple, as well as my first compound radius fretboard. I also opted for the heavy rolled edges.

Now I just need to order the specially colored neck pickup and new tuners and my # 1 will be complete after so much deley.

I've rounded the frets on a couple of my old necks and it's very nice but I didn't touch the wood. This will take comfort to the next level.

This was something I looked into for some time before buying. It seemed like most of the negative reviews were from 2006-2008 or so. We shall see.

Rolled edges are awesome! I have rolled edges on all of my electrics except for my 80's Charvel which is more of a sentimental thing–my dad bought it brand new and passed it on down to me and its all original...so I don't want to alter it.

But anywho, please post pics when it comes in! Sounds like an awesome neck!

I love my musikraft neck. I went for select flame maple with semi rolled edges. It's the most comfortable neck that I've ever played.

Any disadvantages to having rolled fretboard edges?

I mean, why go for the fully rolled board instead of the semi rolled? Etc.

I went with semi rolled as it was a free extra.

All that it does is make the neck more comfortable. No sharp/sudden drop off on the edge of the fretboard it's nicely blended in.

Congratulations. I've experienced nothing pure awesomeness in my dealings with them. They are well worth the slightly higher cost than most places.
