Just tried a Godin Freeway Classic.

This one, with the amber flame top and maple fretboard:

It's actually a nice guitar!
The neck is very chunky, with a small radius and not very wide. Definitely vintage, but quite easy to go nuts on it actually.

The pickups... well, they're good but nothing outstanding.
It gave plenty of correct sounds, they're good but you'd upgrade them sooner or later.
The guitar itself sounds very bright and plucky, which is not really my thing,
and that's the only thing that dissapointed me. The sound, I like more meat and don't wanna overcompensate with super hot pickups.
I'd like something naturally drawn towards a fat, warm sound.
And BTW, dear God that single coil is bright. I really didn't like it.

I didn't try the bridge though, but it looked solid. Nice tuners too.
I'm blindingly betting that with a good setup it could hold it's tuning with mild abuse just fine. It just felt like it.

It's a serious axe, this one. IMO it easily beats most Ibanez RG guitars in the same range.
Doesn't have a Floyd though, but if you don't need one and you can work the natural tone it's got, it's a great deal for a terrific price.

Got any experience with these?

They're nice . . . I also find that the stock Godin pickups (SC-1s and HB-1s anyway) are super bright. Knock both the volume and tone back about 1/4 to 1/3 of the knob and the guitar starts to sound much more manageable, and more what you would expect. This gets rid of a lot of the plucky sound you're talking about.

If you're looking for a similar guitar with a Floyd Rose, the Freeway Floyd that they used to sell can be had for pretty cheap on the used market. It's a great deal . . . same basic guitar as what you were looking at, but with a decent licensed floyd.

I like the old Schaller pickups on my Godin but am not to keen on the newer ones. I helped a friend fit a set of SD's to a Freeway it sounded awsome
