i just ordered the pure western. thanks for turning me onto that lew. ive been looking for a pickup for my acoustic for ages but havent really been able to drop the cash on the mag mic

The K&K has a really nice sound. Great for fingerpickers. At very high levels it can be a little more prone to feedback than a UST like a Fishman.

I have some guitars equipped with Fishmans. I am hearing tremendous things about the AURA systems, they have a new pedal AURA--and the Martin DC Auras are wonderful sounding guitars. I'm very pleased with the Ellipse Matrix Blend and Prefix Matrix Blend systems I have on my guitars.

Everyone hears a little differently. Certainly K&K has built a fine reputation, not only for their product, but for their customer service, too. I know a lot of people who like their B-Band, Baggs, or Highlander pickups. I don't think you can make a bad choice.

I'm thinking of putting one in my Martin OM-28V so I can play it onstage. It's my fingerpicking guitar but I use it with a pick too. Kinda got my eye on that Pure Western that Scottish mentioned. Thanks! Lew

it arrived today and i should have it installed hopefully by the end of the week. just need to find minute to sit down and get it down. i cant really do before and after clips since there is no pickup installed in there just now.

the best i can do would be to mic the guitar without the pup and then mic the amp with the pup and then maybe mic the guitar and the amp at once
