....to every comment made on this thread and to the whole thing of giving him a signature model: I had no idea he knew what a guitar was, I guess I've been either living under a rock or just not too informed on him.

FWIW, I meant no disrespect to Keifer. He's a great actor, and that's a really nice looking guitar.

His collection appears to be at least somewhat respectable, too :)

I barely know who that fool is. He's Donalsd sutherlands brat. Thats his claim to fame. Sutherland(not the young foo) played in "Kelleys Heros" as a beatnick, so if they wanna name a guitar after him, then thats cool -but some actor just because he's famous? Thats a slap in the face to a lot of hard working lifelong musicians. To me its a redicolous guitar. He butchered a perfectly good les paul double cutaway and put big holes in it.

Kiefer Sutherland is married to Terry Kaths widow. For those of you who don't know who Tery Kath was, he was one of the founding members of Chicago and a smokin' player. He died in the early to mid 70's. Listen to "Chicago Transit Authority" Its Chicagos first record. It smokes

I would not buy a guitar because it had an actors name on it ... or a musicians name on it either ... but I would certainly like to pick up one of those and give it a test drive. That is a fine looking piece of wood ...

I think he's managed to do well enough to not be considered riding his Dad's coattails. I cheecked IMDB and there's a pic of him toting two Oscars....as far as I can tell one's the standing limit these days for credibility.

And I keep saying it...but the herd of you don't listen....Signature Models have NOTHING to do with how good a player someone is and EVERYTHING to do with whether or not Marketing thinks they can sell them and make more money.

When are you going to get that through your heads?!?!?!

My opinion is that part of the proceeds will be used for some charity- or for building that recording studio or record company. In reality, those "inspired by" series guitars are made in very, very small quantities, very expensive and meant for collectors, not players... just look at the other guitars in the "inspired by" series. They had a Judas Priest "inspired" Flying V and SG, and no one remembers them playing either.

Notice also that they're releasing it close to the date the new season of 24 starts....

Kiefer should REALLY sell out and take on the Jack Bauer character full time- who wouldn't want a Jack Bauer PDA, Cell Phone, laptop, paintball gun, etc....

I'd show you guys the only Custom Shop Guitar that really matters in this world, the Keith Partridge Custom Stratocaster. However the link to it is on my other laptop, down at the office. Suffice it to say it's a 65' strat, 3 tone burst, all the vintage appointments, with a HSC painted like the tour bus.

Wicked, wicked, wicked for $2400.
