What do you think about this guitar? (the bolt-on version). Someone offered one to me for $1000 with the Esp case included.

I think it´s a good deal, but I would be glad to hear your advice.

How old is it? It's a good guitar. If it's in good condition it's probably worth it. I had one a few years back and it's a great playing, sounding, feeling guitar. Offer him $900. I'd say it's a deal at that.

it´s in mint condition, first hand. It doesn´t matter if it´s not a killer deal, I just want to know if´s a good guitar, thanks for your response.

It's a very comfortable guitar and sounds great. very easy to play.

Re: Kirk Hammett ESP-KH2

$1k is a great deal for an ESP M-2 that's practically new, let alone a sic model, lol. Those guitars are freaking awesome.

Re: Kirk Hammett ESP-KH2

It's a good deal on an awesome guitar. There are a few different high-end LTD models with identical specs as the KH2, and those are made in Korea, and they sell for about $1k brand new. The real KH2 is a legendary instrument.

Re: Kirk Hammett ESP-KH2

yeah, definately go for it. the sam ash near me used to have one that id play everytime i went there. in fact, its the guitar i used when i was convinced to buy a XXX.

Re: Kirk Hammett ESP-KH2

I've never really liked ltd's but is there too much difference between the esp and the ltd (squier vs. fender, mg vs. TSL marshalls, etc) or is it more like comparing a highway one to an american strat (not so much difference, tweaks here and there will get you close or equal to the "real" thing.)??
I just dont really know much about ltd's and esp's, since all the ltd's ive played were heavy, but not THAT heavy sounding, and my hands just seem to reject them on contact. never played esps though...

Re: Kirk Hammett ESP-KH2

Like Fender Custom shop versus Fender Mexicans and Americans...kind of...

ESP's are just way better, lol.

Re: Kirk Hammett ESP-KH2

ESP had a great reputation back in the day. Their guitars were just solid instruments.. When they started with the LTD they sold very good guitars especially for the price. The LTDs to me are kind of clunky. I've owned 3 actual ESPs and loved all of them. I also had a LTD MH 700 or something like that. neckthru 7 string back in 2000. my KH2 and KH3 were much much better than the LTD. Gave them up only afford my Riches. I think LTD kind of hurt their reputation.

Re: Kirk Hammett ESP-KH2

well in that case the ltd kirk hammett is a'ight, its not that bad. the day i get a fender custom shop is gonna be in a long time...i've got a mex and it's pretty much ok, i've played some states ones and i've noticed it really depends from strat to strat, i don't know if my ears are freaky or somthin but some mim i've actually liked more than some californians but it also applies vice-versa. never played a custom shop though...wonder how that would be. i'm getting off topic but i'm gonna start a new thread about this...
