Knucklehead II

My local music shop just traded for one of these in mint condition. I like what I have heard about it so far. My preferred style is Metal/Hard Rock but, I want to be able to play a good variety of music. At roughly $850 what do you think?

Play it first and let your own ears decide obviously. I had one........wasn't my thing. Kind of a strange top end and ended up selling it. It does have some crazy bottom end and the clean is great. I'd put my Randall RM 100 up against one of those any day of the week. But who cares.......if you like it........thats all that matters in the end.....

Re: Knucklehead II

me too...and what Scott said...if it has reverb that's a great amp and a really good price!!!!

They don't come with Reverb....
Depends on where it is in the production run. Some KH II's have 'verb, before they nixed the original K series and started the R series.

Well then I laugh at you.

I've owned both of these amps in this thread......the KH-II sounds inferior to my needs.........not to say some people don't like it though....

Fair enough.........I had an early production model.........ended up selling it.....mine had EL-34's........I heard Paul switched to 6L6's later on.....

So please tell me all about the amp that you know so much about?
You're a very arugmentative fellow. You don't like the KH II; I do.
You prefer the RM100; I don't.
It's no biggie. I'm not gonna be drawn into a meaningless internet debate with you. There are plenty of other people to pick a fight with on this forum, you big bully!!

LOL all you had to do is say that you've tried the amp and leave it at that. You're the one who started the "That made me chuckle" dig. Hard to say if you aren't a troll for the lack of information you've provided here.

Not a big thing to me man. The more stuff I try over the years the more I've learned is that tone is the most subjective thing that can literally drive you crazy. I myself have went through a ton of amps. No big thing to me if we differ in opinion as the world of music would be a boring place if we liked the same thing. Rivera doesn't make junk thats for sure. I just don't like peeps who say "Oh X could never make as good an amp as Y.........and please pass the Grey Poupon"...peeps. Whatever sounds good to the player is cool in my book.... :)
