Anyone else have one of these? I used to - the sunburst one.

It looked cool, sounded decent, but played pretty badly for an acoustic.

I played a friends once for a recording. It couldn't be used for that as it wouldn't play in tune well enough, but it would have been fine for playing around a campfire, as long as everyone sat real close.

Assuming you set it up properly....

#1 Electric neck. What's not to love about that? If you dig Kramers and electric guitars, that was great

#2 Thin body. Again - if you play enough acoustic, thin is in. You only need the top for the sound, the rest is mostly volume (see Ovation)

Tonally? Crap. We could say that about an Ovation also. But with modern processing power, easy enough to remedy.

As a stage acoustic - fantastic. As an Acoustic for Acoustic's sake, pass. Love it for what it is.

There was a guy in my guitar class back in the early 90's with a black single cut one and I thought it was pretty cool and didn't sound too bad unplugged. I've always wanted one since then. I've yet to play one or own one myself yet but would still love to own one.
