kramer guitars experts needed

hi, i was rebuilding my old kramer guitar, the headstock says striker 600st, (overseas model), i took it apart and striped it, someone told me it is a plywood body, so i dident end up fixing it up. now i took it to the local music store the told me the body is ash, with a maple top.......
is it possibe?....the older kramers dont use ash or tops, the body looks identical to the 86 barretta 2, nothing like the striker......can anybody help???

neck.......maple/rosewood

original floyd
1 volume knob
creame color
neck plate chrome, neptune nj

Look into the spring cavity. You should be able to tell if it's plywood. AFAIK all striker's were plywood.

the tech at the local guitar store said it is defanatlly NOT plywood

Then you've got something different there. Did you look in the spring cavity for yourself? The side walls of the cavity will be rough if it's plywood.

Did you buy this guitar new? What are the chances a striker neck was installed on another body?

Strikers were plywood and the bottom of the barrel. The difference between a Striker and a USA Kramer is like night and day. I think they sold for around $200 when new.

i did look at the control cavity, and the spring cavity, from what i saw it is a 3 piece body, very aggressive wood grain, not plywood layers, with a laminate top(looks like maple), i got it from
a friend, i'm tring to find out the backround of it.
