NGD: 1983 Kramer Pacer Imperial

Re: NGD: 1983 Kramer Pacer Imperial

It did. Medical billings but I was able to hustle a few other items to cover things so it's sticking around a bit longer. Thanks for noticing though. ;)

I wind up gravitating towards the USACG Iceman and Warmoth Tele most of the time. That said; this is the only guitar I've kept out since I bought it, bought a house, moved, etc. and it is a great guitar. Thankfully it's staying.

My biggest sale regret was my 85 Baretta.

Replacing the old bridge pickup with a DiMarzio Tone Zone F, already has a DiMarzio 500k Volume Pot so installing a pair of Fender TBX Tone Controls and a recently acquired non-corroded Vintage Kramer "C" Neck Plate.

Great score sir!! Seems like a damn fine guitar to have in your collection! I would not mind having it in mine that's for sure! :)
Oh yes, a new neck plate will complete it mate, that was the only thing that still needed in my opinion! Have fun playing it amigo!

Hadn't been out of its case for a while so I thought I'd take it and to play it a bit as well as get a couple pics since it's such a beautiful sunny day in CO!!!

Re: NGD: 1983 Kramer Pacer Imperial

Had the '83 Sunburst Imp apart for the first time as I was thinking of selling off the neck and have had it on eBay and Reverb a couple times now. The seller from whom I purchased it had told me he was unsure if it was original to the body and I've got an AWESOME Musikraft Neck I'm dying to put on something...but...after taking the neck off, it is most definitely original to the body. Neck plate was mounted a bit crooked from the Kramer Factory and the one set of holes in the neck heel are an exact match so no way the neck was ever on another body.

Also determined the neck HB is an old 80s Seymour Duncan Ink Stamp Label model which I'm sure is the original with the fact the bridge humbucker was originally a SD JBJ (Duncans were an upgrade back then) but the ink stamp label is so faded I cannot determine what model the neck humbucker is so I presume a Jazz based on the clear full tone it has and is it ever a powerfully wound one! Unfortunately the JBJ wasn't working properly and I replaced it with a DiMarzio Tone Zone F which is a much better match with the Vintage SD Neck HB.

I picked up an '84 Kramer Pacer Imperial Body in Transparent Red to use with the Musikraft Neck...should be a nice looking and playing guitar when it's all together:
