Kramer Pacer Carrera... Were there ever any 3 pickup versions of this guitar made from factory? I didn't think so, but Im no expert.. Always loved the Carreras.. Kramer forum closed, so cant ask there...

Re: Kramer guys, need your help!

There is a new Kramer forum up (hope it is okay to link to it here: kramerforumz.com), as well as at least two groups on FB, if you are there. As far as I am aware (and I am not an expert either) the Samboras and the Voyagers were the only three-humbucker guitars in the supposedly American series – I've neer seen any stock Pacer with this configuration. For all I know, though, there might have been a few shipped out with three. You rarely can tell with Kramer.

Yeah, Im thinking its not factory, but pretty cool looking.. But yeah, never know with Kramer and they did do some 3 pup models like the Samboras.. Thanks for the insight on the new forum!! I was reading the goodbyes on the old and there were references to the new, but no one mentioned it..

Re: Kramer guys, need your help!

Factory or not, it should be a cool guitar! Incidentally I just received a NOS Sustainer body this Friday. It will be joined with an NOS neck in December!

Re: Kramer guys, need your help!

No 3 pickup versions; most likely modified but would stop me from snagging if in good shape and a decent price. ;)

About 99% certain they were all dual hum.

For ACCURATE info about Neptune era Kramers, look up George Felise on FB. He worked there.

Re: Kramer guys, need your help!

oh, shouldn't have told me that... He'll prolly block me when I start hounding him with questions.. haha Im a big time Kramer fanboi.. I used to have all these old circus and faces and other mags from the 80s that had all the cool Kramer and other ads in em.. Not to mention all the 80s bands I loved. my mom moved and tossed em all away...

Yeah, Im certain it was a custom job.. kinda cool, but Id rather not have something like that non factory

That page was started and is ran by a Kramer employee. Don't believe that's the case for any other of the half-dozen or so Kramer FB pages. You should get far more expertise and far less fanboy assumption at that Neptune page and with the previous guy I mentioned.

George started that page, too. The Kramer Guitars FB page is loaded with former employees from back in the day. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2226163222/

yep. the ones that still show up. George was the one that got them to go there. he was a huge force there a few years ago, even an admin.

I won't speak for him, but it seemed he got a little worn out of the growing # of people showing up that tried to use hearsay as history and would tell the employees that were there doing it they were wrong. the Neptune page has those same employees there and it's a little tighter group with pretty much no drama.

Yeah, he was certainly defending the era, and rightfully so. He had other personal things going on that kept him away and now he's pretty busy so isn't around as much. The Neptune page hasn't had a post since June. I certainly learned a lot from him about the early days and the whole ESP thing.

Good info again guys.. Due to time and comp access limitations, I don't get to many forums other than this one anymore, but I use pretty much the same screen name on about every forum..
