Kramer Voyager

Re: Kramer Voyager

Yeah Baby! Neck & Body just arrived and they both look GREAT!!! Probably start Lemon Oiling the raw neck tonight and wipe down the body. In addition to the Cavity Control Covers and Neck Plate, it came w/the Original Strap Buttons and Cannon Jack as well. Will post pics at some point now that it's in my hands.

Did you decide to hang on to it now? Haha. You totally should, or at least until I haz some $$$.

Re: Kramer Voyager

Undecided...the great temptation is a Mesa 5:50 Express that I've been offered at a good price.

The scallop on the Fretboard is professionally done, as was the finish removal on the neck other than the Front/Sides/Back of the Headstock. Super smooth feel to it.

Body has couple clear coat finishes on the lower bout front edge and some hairline cracks on the sides of the neck pocket but nothing major. It's pretty damn sweet if I do say so myself.

Very nice... congrats! :D I recently restored my 83 Voyager too. Myself personally, I can't stand the beak headstock, never could... sold the neck back in the 80s and the body had been in storage ever since. When I decided to rebuild it for giggles, I opted for a Boogie Bodies "large banana" headstock neck w/ an Ebony board. I too dumped all the chrome hardware for black, and put a FU Brass Big-Block on the new Floyd. It turned out pretty cool!

(Please excuse the blurry pic, only one I had access to from the office...lol!)

Nicely done! Looks like it's a nice shade of red and in great shape. The Banana Neck works well on it. Sounds like a fine player. :fingersx: I actually like the Beaks, as my first Kramer Neck was an E.E. Pro I and it was a great neck that I owned for about 8 years with it moving to a coule of different guitars.

Awesomeness!! Love the nanna on it!

Re: Kramer Voyager

Sweeeeeeeet. :D Ooh, and bonus points for whoever did the recess job, that's not factory!

(Actually, that would look killer with a large banana head neck like mine...just sayin'... ;) )

Re: Kramer Voyager

Thanks! Test fit all the parts yesterday and it looks like it will be an easy assembly. Pickup cavities are nice and deep so no problems w/the "long legs" on the SD Slash Neck HB, which was a concern. Got everything but the Floyd. Once it arrives I'll drop it off for assembly/set up.
