Kramer Voyager

Re: Kramer Voyager

Soaking up the lemon oil but it's getting there on the feel and tint...second coat on...2-3 more and it'll be good.

Re: Kramer Voyager

As you can see, the neck is looking a lot different after just a couple coats of lemon oil on the raw maple neck...

Mmmmnnn..... scallops..... argharghargh(drools).

HA! Yeah, I likes me some scallops as well, slowly sauteed in butter and a splash or two of a sweet white wine w/a little fresh garlic thrown in for flavor. Okay...now I'm hungry. :smack:

Crappy Cell Pic but my daughter borrowed my camera for Jason Mraz @ Red Rocks last night and it hasn't made it home yet...but I'm getting there. Oiling the neck is complete so now I am waiting on a Big Brass Block, TBX Tone Control and Metal Humbucker Rings to arrive.

Re: Kramer Voyager

Looks cool.

How much did the Scallops in the fretboard cost?

Re: Kramer Voyager

Thanks King Izzo!

Scallops were already done. There is a guy on eBay that does really nice looking Malmsteen Deep Scallops for $99.99 plus $9.99 for return shipping. I wish the prior owner that had the mods done had scalloped the whole neck though.

Re: Kramer Voyager

Hmm, not bad deal. i was just wondering how much they cost.

You didn't like this guitar with the EMG's or just looking for a different sound for this beast?

Actually, I picked up the Neck in an eBay Auction, seller offered me a deal on the Bolt Body w/Neck Plate, Cavity Covers, Strap Buttons, Cannon Jack after I bought the neck and I took it. That said, I'm not really a fan of EMGs. I have had a couple of sets in guitars ('82 LP, '001 Schecter XXX) but they aren't my thing "tone-wise".

Re: Kramer Voyager

Ordered the final parts; a 32mm Big Brass Block, TBX Tone and 3 Way Toggle and as soon as they arrive, it's ready for assembly/set up.
