krank

Re: krank

It was Guitar World Dec 2004. I first heard about it. There is a demo with the revolution the dude really tore it up on clean and distortion. I thought it sounded great! I was pleasantly surprised that Amot and Dime supported it. If they did flood harmony central more power to them. I think people whine a little to much about stuff. Who knows how much other companies rave about their products through so called users. In fact the new guitar world has Dime tearing it up at the factory. Doesn't sound bad to me there. How many of you tried these first hand?

Re: krank

Alot of companies are using the internet forums and review sites to their advantage. There was a thing on 60 minutes about how companies even hire people to sit in coffee shops with new technology, like a gaming joystick, and then engage other customers in conversation about the product and tell them how much they like it. It gets a buzz going for word of mouth. Or another company had a couple ask people passing by to take their picture on their new Cellphone. Then tell them how cool a cellphone it is. It's called stealth marketing. I take reviews on Hackmoney central and advice on forums with a grain of salt. I hope I don't get caught up in the hype. I like reviews but I also feel that I should try things for myself before buying. I try not to make a buying decision based on some guy telling me how great it is while he's getting paid from the manufacturer and probably sitting in the manufacturers office as an employee.

I think if Krank amps were good enough for Dime, they're good enough for me.. I just can't wait to try one out.
I'm not too keen on the fact they're still running ads with Dime. Seems like a bad time to be using the guy to make money. :(

I can cut the earlier issues because of lead time but if the editorial staff has time to have a tribute article, the advertiser has time to modify the ad.
