Laney gs412, decent cab?

I found one at a great price in mint contition.
How does it compare to a marshall cab for example, quality wise?
Would it sound good together with my jcm800 2210?

Cabinets are just another link in the sound chain. I think the Laney cab that you mentioned should sound fine with your JCM800.

Well, not to put Laney products down, their cabs are not the best choice of speaker cabs imho. But then again, a Laney cab is not really a Laney product as they use HH speakers.

I have a Laney GH100L with the HH-Loaded 4x12 cab (300w model) and the cab really lets down the great head. The HH speakers are too thin and fizzy when overdriven, and have no real depth/tone clean.

My advice is to steer clear of the Laney HH cabs in favour of Marshall's celestion loaded ones etc, but check out their GH100/50L heads, wow, they eat Marshalls for breakfast!

Its been 7 years since this thread died...did anyone try?
